Prehensile Tailed Porcupine: Part Two

Posted by Hello

A few weeks back I wrote this post on the prehensile tailed porcupine. In an interesting bit of science the gender of the porcupine has been determined through the analysis of quill DNA! But I’m not going to tell you. You will just have to go read for yourself!

  1. He’s rather a cute little fellow.

  2. It would be more acurate to say “She’s cute” because as it turns out it’s a girl! I’m trying to find out more on the technique used (DNA analysi of the quill – similar to the technique used on human hair) to determine the gender.
