Stupid Creationist Quote Of The Day

This one comes to us courtesy of Casey Luskin at Evolution News and Views. In a post discussing the NCSE’s views on the supernatural Casey says:

Eugenie Scott better reign in her staff members or the NCSE will not only lose its religion-friendly image–it may land some school districts or state boards of education in court if their advice is followed. [emphasis mine – afarensis]

*
Because, of course, that has never, ever, happened with people following the advice of the Discovery Institute.
(Hat tip to AtBC)
* Luskin has fixed his spelling error, which is fine with me as that was not the point. His post still contains the hysterically funny “you will get suuuuuueeed if you listen to the NCSE” language.

  1. Luskin = Loser.
Does he think Genie is Queen of the Evolutionists? She “reigned” all morning over her staff members, and then took the afternoon off?
Luskin = Epic Fail Once Again. He’s like the Homer Simpson of IDCists or something.

  2. ARE YOU SUGGESTING THAT CASEY LUSKIN IS STUPID? HE IS NOT STUPID HE IS NICE HE VOLUNTEERS AT SOUP KITCHENS AND HE FORGIVES YOU FOR BEING MEAN BECAUSE HE IS NOT MEAN. BTW AFARENSIS IS A NAZI THAT HATES FREEDOM AND SOUP.
    heeeeehehehe!

  3. Boy, if there ever was a (little) man with a Napoleon complex…

  4. Now that you mention it I’m not all that fond of soup… Luskin also said, I kid you not:

Now I don’t think that science should adopt supernatural explanations…

  5. I’m glad I put away my irony meter before reading. I can’t afford to keep replacing broken ones in this economy.

  6. Luskin’s spelling is better than his science: a whole sentence and only one boo-boo! (The syntactical incoherence in the same sentence – his implication that more than one consequence may befall the NCSE – is, arguably, something for which he should lose points only if claiming skill in a field requiring verbal competence, such as, oh, media relations or law…)

  7. Maybe — since Luskin probably has the Divine Ear — he himself can “rain” on Eugenie Scott, her staff members, and the NCSE, and so cause a new Great Flood, washing away all naughty “evolutionists” and then pave the way for Creationism to take over the world, free and clear. Now be a dear, afarensis, and pass some of that soup.

  8. Hi,
Just a short note, It is looking you in the face !, you all know that God created the world in a short time period, that can be Gods own time. So he also obviously created evolution. Abd it wandered on on its own. Meanwile god created Adam and Eve, Eve fell from grace, because Saten had his way with her first. All in the Bible. Cain one of the twins, was banished from Eden, Gods line started with Adam, and then through to Seth, not Cain, he is not in the lineage to Jesus through to seth. The Sons of God married the Daughters of MEN, who where fair. Get it ?, Cains crew went full circle and met up with Gods people again, Bingo. Saten incarneted himself into the beast who got in to the Garden, and then God changed it into a serpent. The beast from evolution, which Saten used for his filthy plan. As God stated in Ezekial 28: v 13,( Thou Saten was in the Garden of God.)

  9. Wouldn’t it be simpler to just put up the headline, “Creationist Luskin (or other) Says Something Stupid,” and leave it at that? Not that I mind the details (like frosting on a cupcake), but creationists saying something stupid? that’s about as unusual as big forest fires out in the Western US, floods along the Red River in Fargo, or GOPers kowtowing to Limbaugh.

  10. There’s something about creationists and spelling… and an inability to turn off CAPS LOCK…

  11. Laka, if you’re referring to ERV’s post above, you’d be well advised to click the link.
    Hail Poe.

  12. Doh!
