Which Science Fiction Writer Are You?

I am:

Hal Clement (Harry C. Stubbs)

A quiet and underrated master of “hard science” fiction who, among other things, foresaw integrated circuits back in the 1940s.

Which science fiction writer are you?

Woot! I Love Hal Clement! Not as much as Cordwainer Smith but still…

  1. Well that’s weird. I did the quiz earlier today when I saw it on another blog, and I don’t think I answered anything differently, but now I’m suddenly John Brunner, an author whose most significant works were published after I stopped reading SF regularly.

Earlier, I was Kurt Vonnegut, even though I really wanted to be Harlan Ellison, who I’m not even sure is in the script. But John Brunner? Is he any good? Should I seek out his stuff? I’m baffled.

(Has anyone decompiled this script? Is there a way to be Harlan Ellison? Because I’d do it in a heartbeat.)

  2. Yeah, I like Brunner. The Sheep Look Up is good as are Stand on Zanzibar and Squares of the City.

    (spoiler)
It’s all done in javascript, “view source” gives you the whole thing.

  4. I got Vonnegut, too. 🙂

  5. I matched you on Clement.

  6. Sorry for the lateness of this response. I have a lot of respect for Clement because he was a high school biology teacher.
