There is a new paper in Systematic Biology that looks at the question of the chimp-human divergence and comes to the conclusion that chimps and humans diverged some 8 million years ago. For those who don’t have access the paper can be found here. I haven’t had a chance to read the paper yet – it is 62 pages – and am working through it tonight.
