Free Paleoanthropology pdfs

I am working on Ancestral Hominin Or Stem Hominid: Part Two and the post stubbornly refuses to go in the direction I want it to. In the meantime, here are a few resources for you to enjoy.

The PanAfrican Association of Prehistory and Archaeology has made available the Proceedings from eleven of its conferences. There are quite a few interesting papers that are freely available for download.

The Swartkrans Paleoanthropological Research Project has made available two works by C. K. Brain. These are The Transvaal Ape-Man Bearing Cave Deposits and The Hunters or the Hunted? An Introduction to African Cave Taphonomy. Each is broken into multiple pdfs so you might want to get some software that merges pdfs (there are a number of freeware programs for this).

In the meantime I am still looking for the following articles:

Meganthropus, australopithecines and hominids, American Journal of Physical Anthropology Volume 11, Issue 1, pages 1–38, DOI: 10.1002/ajpa.1330110112

Further remarks on the relationship between “Meganthropus” and australopithecines, American Journal of Physical Anthropology Volume 13, Issue 3, pages 429–445, DOI: 10.1002/ajpa.1330130304

If someone with access to the AJPA could send them to me I would be eternally grateful…

Begging For Articles: Asian Australopithecines

Can someone with access send me the following articles:

A critical analysis of claims for the existence of Southeast Asian australopithecines, Journal of Human Evolution Volume 26, Issue 1, Pages 3–21 http://dx.doi.org/10.1006/jhev.1994.1002

Meganthropus, australopithecines and hominids, American Journal of Physical Anthropology Volume 11, Issue 1, pages 1–38, DOI: 10.1002/ajpa.1330110112

Further remarks on the relationship between “Meganthropus” and australopithecines, American Journal of Physical Anthropology Volume 13, Issue 3, pages 429–445, DOI: 10.1002/ajpa.1330130304

Ancestral Hominin Or Stem Hominid: Part One

I meant to write something about Wood and Harrison’s article, The evolutionary context of the first hominins when it first came out, but have been a bad, lazy blogger and am just now getting around to it.

Creationists and the Grand Canyon

I thought this video from Steve Newton of the NCSE was quite interesting:
